Posted 2007-01-12Filed under: release, spunq 1.3
we have updated our demo.spunq.com installation to the new spunQ 1.3 release. it's still beta, but works well and is already in commercial use in some projects. some features are also added to community portals still running on spunQ 1.2, ex. registeredcommons.org and pureaustriandesign.com.
try the ajax-based search engine and the newsletter modul in the demo. on any questions feel free to comment here in this blog or write us an email to office@strg.at.

the second prerelease from spunq 1.3 is available for download. please see http://spunq.com/download to get the sources.
we fixed some minor bugs in the spunq core classes (/backend/classes/spunq.class.php).
the problems with php5 and mysql 5.0 are solved too, and we made some small changes in the install documentation (/docs/INSTALL). thanks to the canadian guys from TWR for testings and the feedbacks for the INSTALL description.
we plan the final version for the first week in 2007.

advanced editing features

another usability improvement has been integrated in spunq1.3: it is now possible to check multiple objects of a class and delete or move them in another folder all at once.
when administrating a large website, you will love this feature!
livesearch included
Posted 2006-11-15Filed under: usability, interface, spunq 1.3
we recently changed the search engine in spunQ. it's a livesearch engine now, based on some ajax modules. there is a cache function on client side for search results, which makes things very fast and easy to handle.
additionally, it is now possible to make a fast full-text search throughout a single class.
